I made this work for painting the wedding cake I was making since I didn't have time to find anything else, but I would not use it again. The texture is very gritty compared to other powder food colorings. It did not dissolve into the alcohol as it should have to make the paint. For other uses, I am sure it would be fine. Just NOT for making paint.
