As a professional pastry chef I can safely say that this was the best red food coloring I've ever purchased. I'll admit I was hesitant since I'd never heard of the brand before and I needed to make Red Velvet Cake for 150ppl but Kopykake Red Food Coloring did not let me down!

I have used this for baking and when using the correct amount, it seems heavy, like it is too thick. I'm going to try using a little less but thinning it with water to match the amount of coloring needed. I purchased this to make red velvet cake, they have turned out dense and not fluffy. So I'm working on it. If you just use this for coloring to frosting or similar, I don't think you'd need to make any adjustments. I never have these problems with the other brand names that come in the 1 oz bottles -- so that's what I'm thinking.
